This automation scenario allows you to connect Telegram and Google Calendar

It can be build using Ifttt, a no-code workflow automation tool. Ifttt allows you to create automated bots using a simple drag-and-drop interface for non-technical users. This is a ready-made scenario, but it can be customized by adding more apps, actions, filters or branches.

Part I

Configure Applications

First, we need to connect Telegram and Google Calendar to IFTTT.

  • Create IFTTT account.

Build an integration workflow

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  • Set up a Trigger action for Telegram

    Set up a Trigger action for Telegram

    Choose the following trigger: New message with key phrase in a group (This trigger fires when a user sends a message with the /ifttt command and a key phrase to the source group.).

  • Then set up an Action for Google Calendar

    Then set up an Action for Google Calendar

    Choose this action: Quick add event (This Action will add an event to your Google Calendar. Simply include a detailed description of when and what.).

Test and Publish

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  • Customize data flow
