Generate ServiceNow records from new commits in GitHub

First, we need to connect GitHub and ServiceNow to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

  Connect GitHub to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your GitHub account, using GitHub credentials.

  Connect ServiceNow to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your ServiceNow account, using ServiceNow credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for GitHub

  Choose the following trigger: New Commit (Triggered when a new commit is created. Select your organization, repo and branch.).

  Then set up an Action for ServiceNow

  Choose this action: Create Record (Creates a new record in a table.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Configure the data that is exchanged between GitHub and ServiceNow.
