Post messages to Slack when new HourStack entries are completed

First, we need to connect HourStack and Slack to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

  Connect HourStack to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your HourStack account, using HourStack credentials.

• 

  Connect Slack to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Slack account, using Slack credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for HourStack

  Choose the following trigger: Completed Entry (Triggers when an entry is completed.).

• 

  Then set up an Action for Slack

  Choose this action: Send Channel Message (Post a new message to a specific #channel you choose. Can also schedule a message for later.).

• 

  Then set up another Action for HourStack

  Choose this action: Entry Completed (Triggers when an entry is completed.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between HourStack and Slack.

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use
