Sync new file uploads to Google Drive and send them via Gmail

First, we need to connect Dropbox, Google Drive and Gmail to IFTTT.

  Create IFTTT account.

  Create IFTTT account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Dropbox to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Dropbox account, using Dropbox credentials.

• 

  Connect Google Drive to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Google Drive account, using Google Drive credentials.

• 

  Connect Gmail to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Gmail account, using Gmail credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  Set up a Trigger action for Dropbox

  Choose the following trigger: New file in your folder (This Trigger fires every time any file is saved in the folder you specify. NOTE: will process up to 15 files per polling period.).

• 

  Then set up an Action for Google Drive

  Choose this action: Upload file from URL (This action will download a file at a given URL and add it to Google Drive at the path you specify. NOTE: 100 MB file size limit.).

• 

  Then set up another Action for Gmail

  Choose this action: Send an email (This Action will send an email to up to twenty recipients from your Gmail account.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Dropbox, Google Drive and Gmail.

• 

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use

  Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Sync new file uploads to Google Drive and send them via Gmail!
