Create Gavel sessions and send Gmail emails when new envelopes are sent or completed in DocuSign

First, we need to connect DocuSign, Documate and Gmail to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect DocuSign to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your DocuSign account, using DocuSign credentials.

• 

  Connect Documate to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Documate account, using Documate credentials.

• 

  Connect Gmail to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Gmail account, using Gmail credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for DocuSign

  Choose the following trigger: Envelope Status Updated (Triggers when an envelope is sent, completed, voided, or declined. When this step triggers, Zapier will temporarily store documents in your envelope for processing and replaying in later Zap steps and data associated with the selected envelope. Zapier will only fetch data and documents for envelope types that have been selected.).

  Then set up an Action for Documate

  Choose this action: Create and Populate a New Session (Creates a new session of an existing workflow, populates it with the provided variables, and outputs a session ID and a link that can be used to continue the workflow.).

  Then set up another Action for Gmail

  Choose this action: Send Email (Create and send a new email message.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Configure the data that is exchanged between DocuSign, Documate and Gmail.

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use
