How to set up this workflow
This guide contains information on how to set up an automatic workflow that allows to Add new Shopify orders to Salesforce as contacts and send Slack notifications.
Part I
Configure Applications
First, we need to connect Shopify, Salesforce and Slack to Make.com.
Create Make.com account.
Create Make.com account if you don't have one.
Connect Shopify to Make.com.
Give Make.com access to your Shopify account, using Shopify credentials.
Connect Salesforce to Make.com.
Give Make.com access to your Salesforce account, using Salesforce credentials.
Connect Slack to Make.com.
Give Make.com access to your Slack account, using Slack credentials.
Part II
Build an integration workflow
Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Make.com.
Set up a Trigger action for Shopify
Choose the following trigger: Watch Orders (Triggers when a new order is added.).
Then set up an Action for Salesforce
Choose this action: Search for Records in an Object (Searches for records in an object that matches the specified search query.).
Then set up another Action for Salesforce
Choose this action: Create a Record in an Object (Creates a new record in an object.).
Then set up another Action for Slack
Choose this action: Create a Message (Creates a message.).
Part III
Test and Publish
Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.
Customize data flow
Configure the data that is exchanged between Shopify, Salesforce and Slack.
Test the workflow and turn it on for production use
Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Add new Shopify orders to Salesforce as contacts and send Slack notifications!
