Send message in Slack for every new Pingdom alert

First, we need to connect Pingdom and Slack to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

  Connect Pingdom to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Pingdom account, using Pingdom credentials.

• 

  Connect Slack to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Slack account, using Slack credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for Pingdom

  Choose the following trigger: New Alert (Triggers when a new alert occurs in Pingdom.).

  Then set up an Action for Slack

  Choose this action: Send Channel Message (Post a new message to a specific #channel you choose. Can also schedule a message for later.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Pingdom and Slack.

• 

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use

  Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Send message in Slack for every new Pingdom alert!
