Send IFTTT an email to quickly add a task

First, we need to connect Email and Microsoft To Do to IFTTT.

  Create IFTTT account.

  Create IFTTT account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Email to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Email account, using Email credentials.

• 

  Connect Microsoft To Do to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Microsoft To Do account, using Microsoft To Do credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  Set up a Trigger action for Email

  Choose the following trigger: Send IFTTT an email tagged (Send IFTTT an email at [email protected] with a hashtag in the subject (e.g. #IFTTT) and this Trigger fires. You can optionally add a single file attachment (up to 30MB) and IFTTT will create a public URL to the file as an Ingredient.).

  Then set up an Action for Microsoft To Do

  Choose this action: Create task in task list (This action will create a task in a given task list.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Email and Microsoft To Do.

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use
