Post new Strava activities to Slack

First, we need to connect Strava and Slack to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Strava to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Strava account, using Strava credentials.

• 

  Connect Slack to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Slack account, using Slack credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for Strava

  Choose the following trigger: Transfer Athlete Activities (This trigger is for use in Transfer. If not using Transfer, use the new "New Athlete Activity" instant trigger instead.).

  Then set up an Action for Slack

  Choose this action: Send Channel Message (Post a new message to a specific #channel you choose. Can also schedule a message for later.).

• Then set up another Action for Strava

  Choose this action: New Athlete Activity (Triggers when you post a new activity.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Strava and Slack.

• 

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use

  Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Post new Strava activities to Slack!
