Backup Reddit posts to Email and GDrive

First, we need to connect Reddit, Google Drive and Email to IFTTT.

  Create IFTTT account.

  Create IFTTT account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Reddit to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Reddit account, using Reddit credentials.

• 

  Connect Google Drive to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Google Drive account, using Google Drive credentials.

• 

  Connect Email to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Email account, using Email credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  Set up a Trigger action for Reddit

  Choose the following trigger: New post from search (This Trigger fires every time a new post submitted on reddit matches a search query you specify. NOTE: limited to 20 items per check.).

• 

  Then set up an Action for Google Drive

  Choose this action: Upload file from URL (This action will download a file at a given URL and add it to Google Drive at the path you specify. NOTE: 100 MB file size limit.).

• 

  Then set up another Action for Email

  Choose this action: Send me an email (This Action will send you an HTML based email. Images and links are supported.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Reddit, Google Drive and Email.

• 

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use

  Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Backup Reddit posts to Email and GDrive!
