Send an email to add a line to a google drive spreadsheet

First, we need to connect Email and Google Sheets to IFTTT.

  Create IFTTT account.

  Create IFTTT account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Email to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Email account, using Email credentials.

• 

  Connect Google Sheets to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Google Sheets account, using Google Sheets credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  Set up a Trigger action for Email

  Choose the following trigger: Send IFTTT any email (Send IFTTT any email at [email protected] and this Trigger fires. You can optionally add a single file attachment and IFTTT will create a public URL to the file as an Ingredient. This trigger will reject emails with attachments over 30MB.).

• 

  Then set up an Action for Google Sheets

  Choose this action: Add row to spreadsheet (This action will add a single row to the bottom of the first worksheet of a spreadsheet you specify. Note: a new spreadsheet is created after 2000 rows.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Email and Google Sheets.

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use

  Test your scenario and publish to production. Now you have an automatic workflow, that will Send an email to add a line to a google drive spreadsheet!
