Create a new GitHub issue via email

First, we need to connect Email and GitHub to IFTTT.

  Create IFTTT account.

  Create IFTTT account if you don't have one.

• 

  Connect Email to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your Email account, using Email credentials.

• 

  Connect GitHub to IFTTT.

  Give IFTTT access to your GitHub account, using GitHub credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of IFTTT.

  Set up a Trigger action for Email

  Choose the following trigger: Send IFTTT an email tagged (Send IFTTT an email at [email protected] with a hashtag in the subject (e.g. #IFTTT) and this Trigger fires. You can optionally add a single file attachment (up to 30MB) and IFTTT will create a public URL to the file as an Ingredient.).

  Then set up an Action for GitHub

  Choose this action: Create an issue (This Action will create a new issue for the repository you specify.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Customize data flow

  Configure the data that is exchanged between Email and GitHub.

  Test the workflow and turn it on for production use
