Send Slack messages for new backups on Digital Ocean

First, we need to connect DigitalOcean and Slack to Zapier.

  Create Zapier account.

  Create Zapier account if you don't have one.

  Connect DigitalOcean to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your DigitalOcean account, using DigitalOcean credentials.

  Connect Slack to Zapier.

  Give Zapier access to your Slack account, using Slack credentials.

Next, we need to create a workflow automation scenario using graphical no-code web interface of Zapier.

  Set up a Trigger action for DigitalOcean

  Choose the following trigger: New Backup (Triggers when a new backup is created for the selected Droplet.).

  Then set up an Action for Slack

  Choose this action: Send Channel Message (Post a new message to a specific #channel you choose. Can also schedule a message for later.).

Finally, we need to test this automation and publish it.

  Configure the data that is exchanged between DigitalOcean and Slack.
